Sarah Murphy Madia is a communication expert with over 15 years of experience across the international development and media sectors.
Prior to joining WHAT TO FIX, Sarah worked on communications efforts at Doctors Without Borders and the World Health Organization. She has also worked as a journalist and producer for Al Jazeera, AJ+ and, most recently, The Parliament magazine, where she served as editor while spearheading the publication’s revamp.
Sarah is passionate about the integrity of the information environment and tackling mis/disinformation while rethinking a future where content isn’t defined by a race for clicks.
Sarah holds a MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and a BA in Philosophy from Emory University, where her undergraduate capstone project examined American journalistic conventions through the lens of 20th and 21st-century epistemology. Originally from the United States, she has lived and worked in Kosovo, Georgia, South Korea and Belgium.
